About the role

As an R&D Technician at Meatable, you will support our team in the development of cost-effective cell culture media for the production of sustainable cultivated meat. Using state-of-the-art techniques, you will work with suspension cell cultures to screen for optimal media formulations across different assays, and translate your findings to bioreactor processes. Your role will involve collaborating with our scientific experts on cross-functional projects that transition from research into product development.

Note: This is an entry-level position.

Main responsibilities:
1. Routine cell culture work (adherent and suspension)
2. Media preparation
3. Downstream assays for analysis of cell cultures
4. Clear communication of results.
5. Maintaining laboratory notebook

Qualifications

  • HLO or comparable lab education (MSc with passion for lab work also an option)
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, including passaging and maintenance
  • Having experience with suspension cell cultures is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of standard chemical and cell-based analytical techniques, like FACS, qPCR, IF and/or Western blot is a plus
  • Good verbal and written English (must)
  • Experience in writing SOP and/or WI documentation
