About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and talented Bioprocess Technician to join our Bioprocessing team. As a Bioprocess Technician you work with a multifunctional team performing experiments into different aspects of cultured meat and production of (muscle) cells for further regulatory and scientific advancement. You will work with suspension culture, with a large focus on bioreactors.
In the role of Bioprocess technician, you will focus on performing experiments in the lab R&D facility but also be involved in the transfer to the large scale R&D facility. You will actively be involved with other teams in cross functional projects. We are a young and fast-growing company and are entering our next wave of growth. Given our size, new team members will be a huge part of our motivated multidisciplinary team.

In order to be successful in this role you need to be able to work independently, but also communicate effectively with different teams to reach a common goal. You need to have a good practical and scientific background, but also get enthusiastic about thinking outside-the-box to find a solution. You need to be flexible to changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-growing organization. Main responsibilities:

• Perform and assist in experiments
• Perform (small scale) production runs.
• Clear documentation and communication of results.
• Analyze and optimize bioreactor culture system in collaboration with engineers of the bioprocess development team.
• Maintain a laboratory notebook as well as writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
