Process Development Lead / Production Technologist Lead

About the role As our Process Development Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of our small-scale meat production facility and for ensuring that it is set-up for successful and cost-effective upscaling to a commercial scale facility. Meatable is currently in the R&D phase and we are developing our production process. To ensure a seamless transition towards small-scale – and at a later stage - large scale production we want to get an expert onboard who will work in the R&D team to i) end-to-end design and develop our small-scale meat production facility ii) ensure all processes developed in R&D phase can scale to industry scale, iii) make cost estimations and ensure a cost effective large-scale facility, iv) ensure our facility complies with relevant regulations and protocols and v) operate small scale unit. The role will start off as an independent role where you will be part of the R&D team. As we move towards production the team will expand significantly.

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Laboratory Equipment Technician

Meatable is growing fast and there is a need for more structure in the equipment registration, handling, maintenance etc. Therefore we are looking for a highly motivated Laboratory Equipment Technician in our Laboratory Support Team. We are looking for someone who has a few years of laboratory experience in making solutions and buffers, and has a technical background or a strong affection with it (for example fixing equipment, working on electronics etc. as a hobby or side-job). You like to create structure but don’t mind to roll up your sleeves to unpack and install a refrigerator or relocate an incubator on a quick notice. Planning goes easy on you and you have no difficulties in contacting (calling, e-mailing, face to face) companies that can carry out maintenance and or supply equipment. You are able to work closely with our different research teams to find, test, place and register equipment and will also be accountable for the planning and execution of maintenance and calibrations of our equipment. In short you are assertive, practical, and eager to learn; a problem solver. Your key responsibilities will include: - Registration, calibration, and maintenance of the laboratory equipment. This also includes inviting and bringing in the maintenance crews. - Drafting of documentation (protocols, reports) to standardize methods for the handling of the laboratory equipment. - Support of laboratory personnel when equipment needs to be relocated etc. - Maintain and improve our equipment database. The support technician can make and maintain stock and/or working solutions and buffers for the whole department, supports the daily research operations, and consumable supplies, manages waste streams, and cleans the laboratories and storage rooms. Cell Culture Technician

As our new Cell culture Technician, you will work in the Ingredients Team which is part of the Research and Development Department. You will support the development of cost efficient and functional cell culture media suitable for the production of cultured meat. You will be challenged to maintain cell lines and perform cell-based assays under close supervision of scientists and other technicians of the team. Furthermore, your responsibilities are to support research by conducting routine experiments and prepare media and solutions based on set formulations. We are looking for a proactive communicator with a hands-on mentality and attention to details. You are flexible, eager and able to learn.

Scientist Analytical Chemistry

Production of cultured meat is a cutting-edge biotechnological process combining challenges from mammalian cell culture and the food industry, as well as creating a few complications of its own. As Scientist Analytical Chemistry you will be challenged to develop chemical analytical techniques and methods allowing us to thoughtfully monitor and improve every stage of that process. Your responsibilities are supporting the R&D team in the development of chemical analytical methods required for the research and the pilot plant, maintaining the analytical equipment, writing SOPs, organizing the documentation, and building a chemical analysis framework in a GLP-compliant manner. You will work as part of the Ingredients Team in the Research and Development Department but will support and be supported by all teams and departments, including Bioprocess development, Food Science, and Quality Control specialists.

Purchase and Logistics Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Purchase and Logistics assistant who wants to be the backbone of our ordering process. Someone who will take care of our equipment and keeps our storage areas tidy and organized. As a key member of our operations team you will be working closely with all the research personnel and the operational manager. We are looking for a true generalist that is a pragmatic and flexible team player since you will be working in a fast-growing start-up where things can and will change quickly. Your main responsibilities will include the ordering and maintaining of the stock for the laboratories and offices. This includes contact with vendors but also the improvement of our supply chain. Next to that you will order equipment and arrange its maintenance and (re)-calibration. If you feel you match this profile, you get enthusiastic when you see ordering sheets and want to make them perfect and if you thrive in a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team, you are just the person we are looking for.

Documentation Specialist

As our new Documentation Specialist you will be responsible for the regulatory and quality documentation management to support the pre-market authorisation of our product and the GMP practices. In this role you will be a member of our RA & QA team. You will identify and escalate compliance gaps across the documentation management processes and develop/execute effective corrective action plans and support the quality management IT system deployment. You will be responsible to track and trace the status of dossiers, issue logbooks and support internal and external audits. Besides this you manage documentation issuance for clients and certification bodies. If you are highly motivated by working with documents, creating and maintaining the documentation systems and processes and if you like to work in a dynamic, complex, international and ever-changing environment, you are exactly the person we are looking for!
