We are looking for an QC Technician to strenghten our team! Meatable is a fast-growing biotechnology company and we are looking for the next colleague with a collaborative, adaptive, and creative mindset. About the Role As our new Quality Control Technician you will be joining the Analytical Team, which is part of the Research and Development and will be supporting other functional teams with your analytical skills in achieving the shared company goals. You will be challenged to perform independent quality control requests to support the development of the bioprocess. You will closely work with other scientific experts in the field of bioprocessing, molecular cell biology, food science, and engineering. Within the Analytical Team, you will be part of a fast growing and dynamic team with expertise in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, immunology and food analytics. This role is a lab oriented position requiring full scope of effective execution of the standardized operation procedures, thorough analysis and comprehensive presentation of results. Hence, thinking critically, keen eye for details and quality are crucial assets. We are looking for a person with an analytical mind set, who has a couple of years of laboratory experiences and is knowledgeable in the field of Quality Control with a focus on expertise such as Q-PCR, Flow cytometry and Cell based-activity assays. Biochemical expertise like SDS-page, protein quantification, and analytical chemical technologies, such as UHPLC-UV/RI and process automation is a pre. A person who is willing to support others with their analytical skills, practical mind set; eagerness to learn, act as a problem solver for others; has a keen eye for Quality, Continuous Improvement and Safety. Your responsibilities will include: • Execution of the standardized operation procedure for quality control of the Bioprocess Team and support to other research teams. • Organization of shipment of samples to external laboratories and the documentation of results • Continuous improvement of the analytical work flow within the organization. • Maintaining the standard and reference chemicals for quantitative use. In order to be successful in this role you need to have a hands on mentality with attention to detail and quality. You need to be flexible to changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-growing organization. You are a real team player, but you also take responsibility for your individual tasks.

About the Role The Meatable approach for creating ‘cell-based’ meat is based on ground-breaking proprietary technology that was developed at The University of Cambridge and allows us to turn induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into muscle and fat cells, creating 100% real, delicious, guilt free meat. We use iPSCs because they have amazing benefits that enable affordable, at scale production (e.g. they are pluripotent, grow completely serum free, have unlimited proliferation capacity and can grow in suspension). With our technology, scalable cell-based meat production is becoming a reality. Furthermore, our company culture encourages everybody on the team to actively shape their position and we provide ample opportunities for personal and professional growth. During your internship you will work in the Fat Differentiation team which is part of the Research and Development department to support the culture of fat tissue – an essential part of our final product! You will be responsible to maintain cell lines used to create our fat cells and perform cell-based assays under close supervision of scientists and other technicians of the team. Furthermore, your responsibilities will include daily maintenance of both 2D and 3D cell cultures and conducting routine techniques such as PCR or immunofluorescence assays.

About the Role During your internship, you will work on HR topics within the People and Culture team of Meatable. You will ‘taste’ the different aspects of HR and you will discover more about what you like and where you can develop yourself more. - Onboarding (and offboarding) Assist with the onboarding/offboarding process - HR administration Maintain and update personnel data Contract administration Keep track of sick leave Run reports (KPI’s) Thinking about optimalization of HR processes - Learning and Development Plan trainings for colleagues Answer questions related to L&D - Payroll administration Process and approve salary mutations Next to these tasks, there is of course, also a possibility to conduct a research (in consultation).

Furthermore, your responsibilities are to support research by conducting routine experiments and prepare media and solutions based on set formulations. Meatable is transforming from a science-focused company to consumer-focused, end-to-end food business. This means we ramp up the commercial and marketing team. For this year the primary focus of this team is on global PR, organizing tastings in Singapore, the US, and the Netherlands, and preparing our first market launch. The team is working towards our first launch in Singapore, followed shortly by the USA. We are looking for a hands-on Marketing (Activation) Manager to join our fast-growing company and make our mission a reality. The Marketing (Activation) Manager will become part of Meatable’s Commerce & Strategy team and will directly report to the Head of Marketing. About the job The Marketing (Activation) Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and executing brand activation campaigns and brand projects to build our brand, promote our products, and boost our brand awareness. Your responsibilities: • You will be responsible for Meatable’s Soft Launch in 2023. This means you will organize several (tasting) events in the Netherlands, Singapore and the USA and ensure maximum impact on our key stakeholders • You will develop, manage and execute brand activation plans by using all the elements of the marketing mix. Starting with the marketing launch campaign • You will be responsible for developing, creating and maintaining Meatable’s digital marketing strategy and implement, e.g. how to engage with our consumers; making sure our content stays up to date • You will be responsible for optimizing our website and digital presence (SEO) • You will be responsible for engaging with consumers and important industry stakeholders via our social channels.
