Technician Tissue Engineering

Delft, the Netherlands

As Technician Tissue Engineering, you will be working in the Tissue Engineering Team in the Research and Development Department to advance and scale up our tissue generation. We are a dynamic team with expertise in cell biology, tissue engineering and material science. Together with the team, you will optimize scalable techniques to generate multi-cellular 3D tissues. You will perform independent experiments as well as carry-out cross functional collaborative projects that transitions from research into product development. You will closely work with our scientific experts in the fields of bioprocessing, molecular cell biology, engineering and food science to bring innovation to your progress. Your key responsibilities include: - Culture of cells in various 3D multi-cellular models - Perform a series of experiments to test current methods to generate thick tissue - Image acquisition using various microscopes (eg fluorescence, confocal) with experience using software designed for image analysis About you: In order to be successful in this role you need to be a proactive communicator, have a hands-on mentality with attention to details. Scientific Writer

The Meatable approach for creating ‘cell-based’ meat is based on ground-breaking proprietary technology that was developed at The University of Cambridge and allows us to turn induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into muscle and fat cells, creating 100% real, delicious, guilt free meat. We use iPSCs because they have amazing benefits that enable affordable, at scale production (e.g. they are pluripotent, grow completely serum free, have unmatched growth capacity and can grow in suspension). With our technology, scalable cell-based meat production is becoming a reality. We are a young and fast-growing company and are entering our next wave of growth. Given our size, new team members will be a huge part of our motivated multidisciplinary team. As our new Scientific Writer, you will be a member of the registration dossier writing team. Your responsibilities will be: • Produce descriptions from R&D reports / procedures / results, to become part of the registration dossier content. Support these descriptions with literature review and scientific reasoning. • Take the lead in the writing of assigned parts of the dossier, and ensure they are completed in time. • Take the responsibility to review and finalize the compiling of registration dossiers. • Other assigned tasks requiring scientific writing skills. Lead Buyer

To strengthen our team we are looking for a Lead Buyer In this new role you will apply knowledge of procurement practices and procedures to organize and coordinate procurement activities of materials, goods, services and supplies; You will identify business procurement needs, search, screen and qualify vendors, evaluate vendor portfolios, and with help of in house technical specialist, select and negotiate the most favorable solution and terms for the business. You track purchases, monitor vendor quality, and maintain a current database of vendor information for uninterrupted supply of equipment, goods and services for the business. In addition, the Lead Buyer typically reports to the Laboratory Manager and you supervise the work of a junior buyer and/or inventory management staff. You are the specialist on complex sourcing and business matters and can work independently. Responsibilities: • Identify procurement needs of products and services for business functions • Provide comprehensive understanding of suppliers, key market players and market dynamics • Collect offers (RFP / RFQ / RFI), negotiate pricing and delivery conditions with vendors • Maintain vendor relationships and implement contracting and SLA agreements • Develop and follow established procedures to select suppliers and place actual order for materials, supplies and services into assigned systems. (ERP, Vendor sites, etc) • Verify inbound materials for completeness (OTIF-On Time In Full) or damage and connect with vendors for corrective action as needed • Check records accuracy and perform data analysis for process and supply chain optimization • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or supplier issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to the direct manager • Manage and prioritize procurement projects in a changing and dynamic environment • Assist direct manager with buying process improvements and provide inputs for procurement strategy development and execution In order to be successful in this role you need to be a proactive communicator, FLUENT IN DUTCH, have a hands on mentality with attention to details. Scientist Bovine Stem Cells

Delft, the Netherlands

To help grow our portfolio of mammalian cell lines we are looking for a Scientist with proven experience with cultivation and genetic engineering of bovine cells and in particular bovine pluripotent stem cells. As a Scientist with experience working with bovine cells you will be a key member of our Cell Line Development team, where you will be working within our iPSC Derivation team to develop new bovine pluripotent stem cell lines. You will be directly involved in the establishment and characterization of bovine iPSC cell lines that will be used in research and in product development. The ideal candidate has experience with the generation of iPSC cell lines of bovine origin and/or derivation of bovine embryonic stem cell lines and understands the molecular mechanisms of reprogramming and pluripotency. He or she has ample experience with molecular and cell biology techniques, preferably including CRISPR/Cas and/or other gene editing techniques.
