After securing our Series A investment round of USD 47mln in 2021, Meatable is transforming from a research-focused company to a full-fledged food company. We have attracted senior talent across functions and have made major steps in the development of our cultivated meat products. Currently we are preparing for our first launch. As we move towards commercialization having a strong legal foundation is of the utmost importance. We are looking for our Legal Counsel who will build and strengthen our legal position. This is a very broad scope and can regard all legal matters except labor law (lies with HR). The role focuses on commercial contracting and IPR (working closely with our Head of IP), but also e.g. GDPR, business compliance in general, corporate housekeeping. Our new Legal Counsel will be sole and end responsible for all legal matters at Meatable and reports directly to the CEO. This person loves being the spider in the web for all legal matters at Meatable, and understands the business context of the legal function as well as the legal grounding. Being the subject matter expert on all fronts is subordinate to surfacing issues and solving them by engaging with internal and external experts. The ideal candidate enjoys the breadth of the role, is able to keep overview with eye for detail and has a talent for bringing along the organization in our legal professionalization. As we are moving towards commercialization having proven experience with commercial contract and consumer law is an absolute must. Key responsibilities are: • Safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that the company strictly follows applicable laws and regulations • Surface legal issues and proactively mitigate them • Commercial contracting: negotiations and drafting of high quality documentation • Set up and roll out of internal governance policies e.g. business conduct guidelines, privacy, corruption) • Support Head of IP with strengthening Meatable’s IP portfolio • Serve as go to person for all colleagues regarding legal questions • Liaise between business and external counsels • Support CEO and Management Team on understanding legal impact of important business decisions

To strenghten our People and Culture team we are looking for a HR Manager: Do you know what it is that drives and motivates people and do you have a 6th sense on how to bring that into practice through processes and projects? Do you want to build the future with us on the way we consume meat but also the way we grow as an employer? Yes? Than this might be a matching role! This amazing role is based at our office in Delft where you will become a vital part of our People and Culture team. You are going to play a big role in shaping the future of Meatable as an employer with us. You will be responsible for the backbone of the People and Culture team. This will mean that on the one hand you will oversee the quality of the employee administration together with our HR coordinator. On the other hand you will be the one that proposes (and often leads) the new projects that will ensure that Meatable will remain an employer that people love to work for. The final role that you will play is that of a sparring partner towards the Head of People and Culture regarding the direction of the team and its focus. To do so you have the ability to create and execute your own projects based on strong communication towards stakeholders. You are not shy to draft an employee contract or double check a salary round when needed. You have strong communication skills, a positive can-do attitude and are able to think in the future but act now. You have relevant HR experience in an international organization, have strong interpersonal skills as well as organizational skills. You thrive in an international start-up team that has a high pace, lot’s of ideas and even more energy to give. Sounds like a challenge you want to take on? Core responsibilities will include: • Lead our HR Coordinator (1 FTE) and work together to get the processes to the next level (e.g. employee/contract administration, payroll and policies) • Responsible for the projects in the portfolio of HR. Regarding the performance management project, you will be the driving force. • Be the sparring partner towards Head of People and Culture on HR related topics. Please note for this role it is essential you speak fluent Dutch and English and residising in the Netherlands.
