In this new role you will apply knowledge of procurement practices and procedures to organize and coordinate procurement activities of materials, goods, services and supplies; You will identify business procurement needs, search, screen and qualify vendors, evaluate vendor portfolios, and with help of in house technical specialist, select and negotiate the most favorable solution and terms for the business. You track purchases, monitor vendor quality, and maintain a current database of vendor information for uninterrupted supply of equipment, goods and services for the business. In addition, the Buyer typically reports to the Laboratory Manager. You are the specialist on complex sourcing and business matters and can work independently. Responsibilities: • Identify procurement needs of products and services for business functions • Provide comprehensive understanding of suppliers, key market players and market dynamics • Collect offers and negotiate pricing & delivery conditions with vendors • Maintain vendor relationships and implement contracting and SLA agreements • Develop and follow established procedures to select suppliers and place actual order for materials, supplies and services into assigned systems. (ERP, Vendor sites, etc) • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or supplier issues, while escalating only the most complex issues to the direct manager • Manage and prioritize procurement projects in a changing and dynamic environment • Assist direct manager with buying process improvements and provide inputs for procurement strategy development and execution In order to be successful in this role you need to be a proactive communicator, have a hands on mentality with attention to details. You need to be flexible and able to change priorities in a dynamic and fast-growing organization.

Your experience with recruitment for different positions within a biotech or food company will help you to find the perfect candidates for our positions. You will be responsible to lead searches for which you will have to collaborate closely with our hiring leads and People team. You will improve our employer branding to strengthen our own recruitment. In the coming years Meatable will transform from a science-focused company to consumer-focused, end-to-end food company. This means we ramp up the marketing team. For this year, the primary focus of this team is on global press and PR, as Meatable wants to take the center stage in conversations about cultivated meat. In 2023/2024 the objective of this team will shift to building a consumer brand around the first product launch, likely to be in Singapore. We are looking for a hands-on PR and Communications Manager to join a fast-growing company with a revolutionary mission, and build our presence worldwide and in our first launch market. The PR & Communication manager will become part of Meatable’s Commerce & Strategy team and he/she will directly report to the Head of Marketing. About the job: The PR & Communication Manager will be responsible for driving and developing Meatable’s PR & Communication activities supporting these goals. 1. Short term (2022/2023): Building Meatable as the leader in cultivated meat space 2. Medium term (2023/2024): Launching and building a new consumer brand Your responsibilities: • Create, develop, and implement the short-term and medium-term PR strategy • Increase Meatable’s share of voice and establishment as a trustworthy leader in the global cultivated meat space • Execute the PR strategy worldwide together with PR agencies, that you will be responsible of selecting/changing and managing • Excecute the PR strategy in the Netherlands at your own responsibility, including proactively looking for opportunities in your (and our) network • Execute our PR/marketing launch in our first market, together with partners, actively driving brand awareness in our launch market and with our global audiences • Develop content, e.g. writing press releases, op-eds, and blogs, creating posts for and managing/building our social channels, and organizing interviews and events.
