Analytical Technician

Meatable is a fast-growing biotechnology company and we are looking for the next colleague with a collaborative, adaptive, and creative mindset. As our new Technician you will work in the Analytical Team, which is part of the Research and Development Department and will be supporting other functional teams with you analytical skills in achieving the shared company goals. You will be challenged to perform independent analytical requests to support the other functional disciplines. You will closely work with other scientific experts in the field of bioprocessing, molecular cell biology, food science, and engineering. Within the Analytical team, you will be part of a fast growing and dynamic team with expertise in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, immunology and food. This role is a lab oriented position requiring full scope of effective experimentation, thorough analysis, and comprehensive presentation of results. Hence, thinking critically, being innovative, and being able to multi-task are essential characteristics for being successful in this role. We are looking for a person with an analytical mind set, who has a couple of years of laboratory experiences and is knowledgeable in the field of Analytical Chemical, Biochemical or Genetic technologies, such as HPLC-UV, LC-MS/MS, Elisa, Flow cytometry and Q-PCR. A person who is willing to support others with their analytical skills, practical mind set; eagerness to learn: act as a problems solver for others; has a keen eye for Quality, Continues Improvement and Safety. Your responsibilities will include: - Support the implementation and execution of new analytical methods of analysis - Continuous improvement of the analytical work flow within the organisation. - Maintaining the standard and reference chemicals for quantitative use. In order to be successful in this role you need to have a hands on mentality with attention to detail and quality. You need to be flexible to changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-growing organization. You are a real team player, but you also take responsibility for your individual tasks.

Marketing and Communications Manager

Meatable is growing fast, and is rapidly transitioning from a research oriented company to a fully rounded food organization. In 2021 we secured our Series A funding round of $50m and have made great scientific progress in building our prototype 2.0. In 2022 we will focus on building our organization even further (from ~10 people in early 2021, ~50 people now to ~100 people end of 2022) and on growing towards a consumer focused organization. In order to do this we will be ramping up our commercial team. For the first year the prime goal of this team is on press and PR. While we have intentionally kept a relatively low profile in the media so far, we are now getting ready to take center stage in the conversation about cultivated meat. At the end of 2022, and in early 2023 the focus of this team will shift again to building a marketing and sales organization in preparation for launch. We are looking for a highly talented and experienced Marketing and Communications Manager who can help us reach our goals for 2022 and who wants to build out this team to get us fully set up and prepared for launch. Key responsibilities will include: - Drive and develop all marketing and communication activities to increase Meatable’s brand awareness and make us centre stage in the conversation about cultivated meat - Includes online, social, events, press, PR/PA, campaigns - Includes design and development of all MarCom plans together with our Director of Commerce & Strategy - Build and professionalize our MarCom team: manage the comms/PR specialists, attract new hires/freelancers/agencies, extend and build our press/PR network globally, professionalize our way of working, planning and monitoring, etc - Lead and manage relationships with marketing agencies, media partners, and suppliers - Take full ownership of the planning and execution of all assigned events and campaigns - Define the needs for Marketing & Sales team in preparation for launch and drive team building Who are you: - A smart and ambitious person with a hands-on and can-do attitude, who gets things done - A creative thinker, who doesn’t stay ‘inside the box’ and gets energized from trying new things - A true networker who is able to bind people to our cause - A friendly and modest individual, who understands and fits our company culture and is able to transfer this culture to the outside world

Strategy Specialist

Meatable is growing fast and secured its Series A funding round earlier this year. With this money, we are now fully in the process of moving from a start-up to a scale-up organization – and therefore pre-empting and solving all the challenges associated with this transformation. We are now boosting the timelines and progression of our research, but also investing in the commercialization of our products and the development of our organization. We have built a leading in-house Strategy and Commerce team, and are now looking for a talented strategic thinker who can single-handedly manage a diverse range of strategic projects across multiple areas of the organization. As Strategy Specialist you will be at the heart of the Strategy Team, and assist Meatable’s Leadership by ensuring we have all the data, analysis and knowledge to make the correct strategic decisions in shaping Meatable’s future. These responsibilities will be both internal (e.g. gathering the correct input from R&D and Operations teams) and external (market research, market assessments, competitive analyses etc.). As Strategy Specialist you should be comfortable and capable working independently, managing strategic projects which feed into wider decision making in the organization. You should also an outstanding and flexible communicator, able to work effectively with the diverse range personalities and ways of thinking throughout the organization. The Strategy Specialist will have plenty of freedom to tackle Meatable’s strategic challenges. You will work with a team of bright colleagues, including the Strategy Manager (5+ years at Strategy&), Director of Commerce & Strategy (10+ years at BCG) and the CEO (7+ years at McKinsey). So this role will be a great adventure for an experienced consultant who wants to help build a company with the potential to make the world a better place. Your key responsibilities will include: Independently conduct strategic projects. For example: * Size and forecast our addressable market and market share (based on external data, analysis and competitive analysis), driving decision making on future product portfolio - Helping to define our product strategy (coordinating inputs from R&D, Commerce and Food science), answering key go/no-go questions to drive decision making - Maintain a database of competitor product and market data, advise for strategic focus based on our relative strength and differentiation - Value chain mapping and target screening - Various projects to support R&D function, for example evaluating potential outsourcing partners * Implementing change in the organisation e.g. new toolings, planning * Preparing meetings, presentations and business intelligence to support the Management Team and Strategy Team * Assisting with Board, Management and investor-facing storylining, presentations and analysis * Unique challenges arising from the fast paced and rapidly developing nature of our business, e.g. setting up new functions, problem solving gaps and opportunities in the organisation

Project Leader

We are seeking an experienced Project Leader. Someone who will be responsible for project management activities including project planning, execution, control, and responsible for shaping and leading cross-functional project teams. As a key member of our Meatable team you will be working closely with our research team leads and other functions across the whole value chain. At the same time, you will interact and manage external stakeholders. You will report to our Director of Transformation & Execution, who is the functional head of our Project Management Office. We are looking for an excellent communicator who is self-directing with an agile mindset, since you will be working in a fast-moving environment where things can and will change quickly. Your main responsibilities will include the defining of project objectives and scope and the developing of integrated project plans. You will lead project execution and periodic project reviews of both internal projects and projects executed (partially) with externals. You will provide project management coaching and development for team members as appropriate. Next to that you will keep the team focused on project objectives, budget, and timely delivery of results. In addition, you will be asked to contribute to developing and implementing necessary PM-practices, tools and processes within the organization as well as support specific tasks executed by the PMO. Biomaterial Scientist Media

Production of cultured meat is a cutting-edge biotechnological process combining challenges from mammalian cell culture and the food industry, as well as creating a few complications of its own. As Biomaterial Scientist you will be challenged to design safe, sustainable, and cheap media which provides a comfortable environment for our mammalian iPSC to proliferate and differentiate into muscle and fat. Your goal will be to find, develop and evaluate new ingredients which can be used in these processes. The ingredients team is involved in almost every aspect of the company, so you will closely work with our scientific experts in the field of bioprocessing, molecular cell biology, and even food science and engineering to bring innovation. This is a lab oriented scientific position requiring full scope of literature search, effective experimentation, thorough analysis, and comprehensive presentation of results with minimal supervision. Hence, thinking critically, being creative, and being able to multi-task are essential characteristics for being successful in this role. As Biomaterial Scientist Media, you will work in the Ingredients Team which is part of the Research and Development Department.
